The University of Hawaii at West Oahu began its life a half-century ago as West Oahu College, bunking with Leeward Community College on its Pearl City campus and in other temporary spaces nearby. It took a long time to grow up, in 2012 settling in East Kapolei as the “second city” continued its growth. Check out an exhibit, open through Nov. 6, in the UHWO library.
